Home Remedies for Canker Sores

When it comes to canker sores, there are tons of solutions that will help you with relieving the pain.  You can purchase medication over the counter, go to your doctor and get prescriptions prescribed to you, or you can turn to the home remedies to help you out with the canker sores. Within this article, we are going to tell you about some home remedies to help you out with the canker sores.
The first remedy we have involves water and salt. You should mix a teaspoon of salt into a glass of 8 ounces of water and rinse your mouth out.  This will help fight the bacteria that come about and form those canker sores.
Next, you could get liquid Benadryl (half a teaspoon) and mix it with about 2 tablespoons of Maalox and wash your mouth out with that.
As you are using home remedies, you should also consider using ointments for canker sores at the same time. There are ointments out there that help numb the area and will ease your pain. These involve Orabase, Tanax and Aribesol.  Basically, any solution that has benzocaine in it is going to help with the pain of canker sores. If you need further information on canker sores, then feel free to ask your pharmacist for more information.
